Brian Boisen, Pastor
Brian began his work as the pastor of Hope in 1999. While he was a little wet behind the ears at first, the congregation was patient and kind and he learned and grew, and they have enjoyed a long and blessed relationship together over the years.
Brian’s greatest passion is for knowing Jesus and helping others to grow in their relationship with Him. He tries to be intentional in pursuing this goal in all he does. Brian and Kerry were married in 1993, and they raised their three children in Rogue River for so long that they are no longer children. Jack, Zoey, and Grace are off on their own adventures, and Brian and Kerry enjoy every chance they get to connect with them. Kerry is the Director of Nursing for Asante Ashland Community Hospital. Brian received his bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Vanguard University, his master’s degree in church history from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, as well as his Master of Divinity degree from San Francisco Theological School. Along with his work at Hope, Brian teaches the Old Testament Survey and Gospels courses at Pacific Bible College in Medford.
Nancy Cermak, Office Manager
Nancy’s is the gracious voice you’ll hear when you call Hope and the smiling face you’ll see. when you walk through our doors during the week. She has been a blessing to us all since 2002 in her work as our Office Manager and Bookkeeper. She officially joined Hope in 2005 and has served as a deacon. Nancy is originally from Montana. She and Dan were married in 1990, and they moved to Rogue River in 1998. They have two adult children and one adorable grandson!
Larry Allen, Worship Leader
Larry has been involved with music at Hope in one way or another since 2011. He believes that music is an integral part of our communicating with God as we worship and honor Him. He eventually became our Music Director, and we have been richly blessed by his heart for our Lord and his many gifts. Larry enjoys moving us forward with contemporary worship while mixing in traditional Christian songs in order to honor the wonderful history of worship in the church. Larry’s wonderful wife Tricia often adds to our experience with percussion, and their two daughters play an active part in our church family.
Josh Davis, Director of Ministry
Josh recently joined the Hope team as our new Director of Ministry. Since getting involved in late-2023, he has taken on teaching the weekly Sunday Morning Bible Study and occasionally sharing the Word during the normal Sunday morning worship service.
Josh grew up as a missionary kid, spending eight years of his childhood in foreign countries. After moving back to the area in 2012, he spent seven years involved in Child Evangelism Fellowship and has helped lead and teach multiple youth and young adult groups, as well as take part in several local ministry internships. He desires to learn and teach the Word of God with authenticity and humility.
